Unified Champion Crews-Dezurn set to defend titles against former Olympian Ortiz.

(Friday June-6, 2025)— Reigning unified Super Middleweight Champion Franchon Crews-Dezurn (9-2, 2KOs) is set to make her return to the ring as she looks to defend her titles against word title challenger Citlalli Ortiz (4-1, 1KOs), in a bout scheduled for [10X 2 minute rounds] battling for the WBC & WBA World Super Middleweight titles. This Salita Promotions card will take place at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, NY.

Crews-Dezurn, 37, aka “The Heavy Hitting Diva” brings experience and championship pedigree to the ring, having become the first-ever female undisputed Super Middleweight champion in boxing history. The Virginia native reclaimed her place at the top of the division after she defeated then-unbeaten knockout artist Shadasia Green (15-1, 11KOs) for the (Vacant) WBC & WBA World Super Middleweight titles in December of 2023, in a career-defining victory.

Ortiz, 25 is a young hungry challenger who herself will be looking to carve her name into the history books. For Ortiz, who is a 2024-Olympian a win over the reigning champion would immediately make her one of the top new names in the sport.
