Keyshawn Davis Brings World Title Fight Home to Norfolk vs De Los Santos

On Saturday, June 7, 2025Undefeated 135-pound World Champion Keyshawn Davis (13-0, 9 KOs) of Norfolk, VA, attempts to make the first defense of his title in front of his hometown, when he takes on former world title challenger Edwin De Los Santos (16-2, 14 KOs) of the Dominican Republic, in a scheduled 12-round title attraction, for the lightweight WBO World Championship, taking place at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, VA, & televising on ESPN.

The 26-year-old Davis, has been on a tear lately, delivering impressive performances fight after fight. Most recently, Davis captured the WBO Lightweight World Title in February 2025 with a dominant fourth-round knockout over then-titleholder Denys Berinchyk (19-1, 9 KOs).

For De Los Santos, this will be his first appearance in the ring since suffering a loss to reigning WBC 135-pound World Champion Shakur Stevenson (23-0, 11 KOs), in November 2023, a fight that would go the full distance.

In the co-feature, promising undefeated 135-pound sensation Abdullah Mason (18-0, 16 KOs) hopes to continue his pursuit toward a world title shot by taking on a veteran and game-adversary in Jeremia Nakathila (26-4, 21 KOs) in a scheduled 10-round bout.

Mason, 21, has been extremely active inside the ring—this will make his seventh fight in just over a year’s time.

The undercard is set to feature some of the sports new generation of young stars looking to make the jump towards becoming a world title contender. Three former Olympians from the 2020-Olympic Games will be featured on this card:

  • Troy Isley (14-0, 5 KOs) of Alexandria, VA, will take on Etoundi Michel William (16-1, 12 KOs) Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in a scheduled 10-rounder.

  • Delonte Johnson (15-0, 7 KOs) of Cleveland, OH, is set to face Janelson Figueroa Bocachica (17-3-1, 11 KOs) of Detroit, Mi, in a 10-round bout.

  • Euri Cedeño (11-0-1, 10 KOs) of La Romana, Dominican Republic will collide with Abel Mina (18-3-1, 8 KOs) of Quito, Ecuador, in a scheduled 10-round bout.

The entire DB3 brothers trio (Keyshawn, Kelvin & Keon Davis) will be competing on the card on fight night. Kelvin Davis (15-0, 8 KOs) of Norfolk, VA, will face Nahir Albright (16-2, 7 KOs) of Philadelphia, PA, in a scheduled 10-round bout. Keon Davis (3-0, 2 KOs) of Norfolk, VA, squares off against Michael A. Velez-Garcia (3-0, 2 KOs) of Sabana Grande, PR, in a four-round bout.

• Deric “Scooter” Davis (6-0, 6 KOs) of Washington, D.C., will hope to keep his six-fight knockout streak alive when he faces Naheem Parker (5-2, 2 KOs) of Camden, NJ, in a scheduled six-round bout.

Patrick O’Connor (pro debut) of Waldorf, MD, looks to make his first marks on the professional ranks when he faces Marcus Smith (2-1, 2 KOs) of Memphis, TN, in a scheduled four-rounder.
