WBA World Champion Lamont Roach Jr returning home to D.C for first title defense.

(Friday, June-28, 2024)— WBA World Jr. Lightweight Champion Lamont Roach Jr (24-1-1, 9ko), will return to his hometown of Washington, D.C, as he seeks to make his first world title defense taking undefeated challenger Feargal McCrory (16-0, 8ko), of Ireland, in a scheduled [12 round] main-event attraction, brought to you by Pro Box Promotions in association with NoXcuse Promotions, set to place at the Entertainment & Sports Arena, in Washington D.C.

Roach (28), captured the WBA World title in November, 2023 defeating then champion Hector Luis Garcia, on the undercard of Benavidez vs Andrade, in Las Vegas. After an intense back and forth battle between the two fighters Roach landed a left-hook that would send Garcia to the canvas in the closing minutes of [Round 12], scoring a knock down that would ultimately help to edge a split decisions victory into his favor.

In the co-featured bout of the evening two willing punchers will collide when undefeated Lester Martinez (17-0, 15ko) of Guatemala, battles against Carlos Congora (22-2, 17ko), of Ecuador, in a scheduled [10 round] contest, in the Super-Middleweight division.

Fans will also get to see a loaded undercard that features some of the areas top talent on display such as world-ranked, undefeated bantamweight women’s contender Rianna Rios (7-0,1ko), battling against Mary Romero (10-5, 2ko), for the WBA International Championship, in a scheduled [8 round] contest. One of the dmv areas fan favorites Greg Outlaw (14-2, 8ko), will meet Isidro Curiel (11-3-1, 6ko), in a scheduled [8 round] contest in the Super-lightweight division. Former amateur standouts Deric ”Scooter” Davis (3-0,3ko), as well as two fighters who will be making their professional debuts, (USA #1 ranked) amateurs Jordan Roach (Super Flyweight), who is also the younger brother of Lamont Roach Jr, & Benjamin Johnson (Welterweight), a 12x amateur National & International champion are all scheduled to appear in separate [4 round] bouts.
