Unfinished business as Mayer and Ryan meet for WBO World title rematch .

(Saturday, March-29, 2025)— Reigning 147-pound WBO-World Champion Mikaela Mayer (20-2, 5KO), and former champion Sandy Ryan (7-2-1, 3KO), look to “settle the smoke”as the two sides meet in a rematch for the WBO World welterweight title, in a scheduled [10-round (2 min.)] world championship hampionship attraction, taking place at the BleauLive Theater, at Fontainebleau Hotel, in Las Vegas.
The first fight between the two ladies generated a record high in viewership for a fight card headlined by a female main-event on ESPN since 2005.
Leading up to their previous match there was a lot of controversy surrounding fight night, an incident occurred that involved Sandy Ryan being attacked by someone tossing a bucket of paint on her as she was preparing to depart from her hotel in route to the fight arena.
Speculations of the attack led to question whether the incident was an act from the Mayer’s camp. Mayer denied any knowledge or involvement of the attack. However, the fight between the two would proceed with Mayer going on to defeat Ryan, winning a split-decision victory and capturing the welterweight WBO-World title in the process.
In the co-featured bout undefeated 147-pound WBO-World Champion Brian Norman Jr ( 26-0, 20KO), will look to make his first world title defense taking on a game opponent in Derrieck Cuevas (27-1-1, 19KO), in a scheduled [12-round] world title attraction.
World ranked 126-pound contender Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington (14-0, 8KO), has been vocal about his desire for a world title shot, but first he will be tasked with facing Enrique Vivas (23-3, 12KO) in a scheduled [10-round].
Rising undefeated lightweight prospect Emiliano Vargas (12-0, 10KO), will look to continue his “prospect of the year” campaign when he takes on 29-fight veteran Giovannie Gonzalez (20-7-2, 15Ko), in a schedule [8-round] bout.
Former USA-Olympian Delante “Tiger” Johnson (14-0, 6KO) seeks to continue his ascension up the world rankings when he takes on veteran Kendo Castaneda (21-8, 9KO), in a scheduled [8-rounder].
130-pound prospect Dedrick Crocklem (1-0, 1 KO) will face Dionne Ruvalcaba (2-1, 1KO) in a scheduled [4-rounder].
After recently signing a promotional deal with Top Rank, former amateur bantamweight standout Emmanuel Chance, will be making his professional debut against Miguel Guzman( 1-0, 1KO) in a [4-round] match.
The undercard will begin at 7pm EST on ESPN+. Main portion of the card will begin broadcasting 10pm EST on ESPN.
