#1 Contender Tiara Brown challenges Sky Nicolson for WBC Women’s World title in Australia.

(March-22, 2025)— WBC (#1 ranked) Women’s featherweight contender Tiara Brown (18-0, 11KO) will be traveling “across the pond” to Australia to challenge reigning undefeated World Champion Skye Nicolson (12-0, 1ko) for the WBC World featherweight Championship, in a scheduled [10-round] world title attraction, taking place at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.

Brown, 36, who recently came off a victory over Calista Silgado (22-18-4, 16ko), in January of 2025, has been very adamant about her desires for a world title shot against the champion Nicolson. Brown earned her status as (#1-contender) In June of 2024, when she defeated Gabriela Bouvier (20-14-1, 4ko), in a WBC World title eliminator bout which positioned her as the mandatory challenger for Nicolson’s WBC World title.

Nicolson, 29, had a very busy 2024 campaign. In April of 2024, Nicolson, won the (vacant) WBC World women’s featherweight title winning a [10-round] unanimous-decision over Sarah Mumford (15-2, 3ko), then later in July made her first successful title defense against Dyana Vargas (19-2-1, 12ko), winning the fight via [10-round] unanimous-decision, and most recently in October of 2024, the champ followed up with her second consecutive successful title defense defeating Raven Chapman (9-0, 2ko) by unanimous-decision .

The pre-fight build up between both fighters leading up to this fight has made this a must watch fight week. Will the Champion Skye Nicolson reaffirm that she really is who she says she is?, or will there be a newly crowned champion with Tiara Brown looking to spoil the homecoming of champ.
