Tiara Brown takes on Dyana Vargas for interim WBC World title.

(Saturday, October-12, 2024)— Undefeated women’s featherweight contender Tiara Brown (17-0, 11ko), ( Ft. Myers, Fl), will take on Dyana Vargas, (19-2, 11ko),(of the Dominican Republic), for the WBC interim featherweight World title at the 2300 Arena, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This card will be Promoted by DSG promotions.

Brown, is coming off a 10-round unanimous decision victory over Gabriela Bouvier, in a WBC title eliminator match that happened earlier this year in June.

For Brown, winning the fight would position her as the #1 ranked mandatory to challenge for the featherweight WBC world title, which is currently held by Australia’s Skye Nicolson(11-0, 2ko). Nicolson, will be defending her WBC world title against U.K’s Raven Chapman (9-0, 2ko), in Riyadh, on October-12th, the same fight night as Brown.

However Dyana Vargas, serves as the determining gatekeeper standing in the middle of a possible meeting between the challenger & champion. In her most recent fight Vargas, would lose a unanimous decision to the champion Skye Nicholson, in July of this year. A victory over Vargas would be reputable measuring stick to gauge the crossroads of the future for Tiara Brown.
