Anderson goes the distance with former World Champion Martin.

[On Saturday, July 1]— Jared “The Real Big Baby” Anderson took on former world champion Charles Martin, (who was a late opponent switch) in Toledo Ohio. The 23 yr old Anderson, who is known for his knock out power came into the fight with 14-0 record, having all his victories coming by stoppage, but on this night he had to bring his lunch pal and go to work against the veteran Martin.

Early in the fight Anderson showed patience, seeming to be winning early rounds by actively landing his jab, and then in the third round the young prospect caught Martin with a over hand right that floored the former world champion.

That’s when things began to heat up, after being encouraged by his corner to increase his punch output Martin seemed to listen beginning to landing a series of heavy punches, some that appeared to have buckled the knees of Anderson.

Showing grit and will, Anderson was able to battle through making the necessary adjustments and ultimately dominated the fight winning by unanimous decision against the former world champion. “No specific names, but everybody in the top 10..Why not? Let’s get it on”. Anderson stated when asked what’s next after his victory.
