Keyshawn Davis looks to challenge for his first world title against champion Denys Berinchyk
(Fri, Feb-14th, 2025)— Two-former Olympic silver medalist will face-off as USA’s undefeated world contender Keyshawn Davis ( 12-0, 8ko ) of Norfolk, VA attempts to capture his first career world title when he takes on reigning WBO Lightweight World Champion Denys Berinchyk ( 19-0, 9ko) of Ukraine. This match is scheduled for [12-rounds] for the WBO Lightweight World Championship, headlining the fight card that will take place at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Davis, 25, earned the opportunity to fight for a world title after making a statement in November 2024, when he defeated a formidable opponent in Argentinas Gustavo Lemos (29-2, 19ko), via second-round Knockout, in what marked Davis’s first career headliner which took place in his native hometown of Virginia.
As for the 36yr old, champion this will be his first title defense since he captured the title in May of 2024, defeating former three-division world champion Emmanuel Navarrete (39-2-1, 32ko), for the then vacant WBO World title.
In the co-featured fight of the evening 22yr old, Puerto-Rican Jr. middleweight world contender Xander Zayas (20-0, 12ko), looks to continue his ascent into title contention when he faces fellow world contender Slawa Spomer ( 20-0, 11ko) of Germany in a scheduled [10-round] showdown.
