Ennis Meets Lima in WBA Super Welterweight Title Eliminator Bout
(On Oct-11-2025)——Former IBF and WBA unified welterweight World champion Jaron “Boots” Ennis (34-0, 30KOs) looks to embark upon a new challenge, moving up to the super welterweight division to face Portugal’s Uisma Lima (14-1, 10KOs) in a scheduled [12-round] WBA World title eliminator bout taking place at the Xfinity Mobile Arena (formerly the Wells Fargo Arena) in Philadelphia, PA.
In his most recent outing Ennis successfully defended his IBF title against the then WBA World champion Eimantas Stanionis (16-1, 9KO), stopping Stanionis by sixth-round TKO to become the unified IBF and WBA World Champion. Now, Ennis shifts his attention towards becoming a two-division World Champion as he makes the leap into the super welterweight division.
Standing in his way will be Uisma Lima, a formidable world challenger who looks to play spoiler to Ennis’s 154-pound debut. Lima is on a four-fight win streak since suffering his sole career loss in 2023 when he took on top-middleweight contender Aaron McKenna (20-0, 10KOs). Since then, Lima has climbed back into contention, having faced his last four opponents with a total combined record of (66-1).
