Baumgardner to defend WBC championship versus Persoon.

(Friday, Sept-27, 2024)— Undisputed super featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner (15-1, 7ko), looks to defend her WBC title versus former world champion Delfine Persoon (49-3, 19ko), (Belgium), in a scheduled [10- Round], headliner taking place at Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.

For the champion this will be her first appearance in the ring in 2024. Previously, Baumgardner defended her undisputed titles twice in 2023, with victories over Elhem Mekhaled (17-3, 3ko) & revenging her sole career loss by defeating Christian Linardtou (14-3, 6ko).

Persoon’s however presents a very formidable challenge to the champion. Persoon’s positioned herself for another title opportunity by successfully winning & defending the super featherweight WBC silver championship in back-to-back fights with victories over Elhem Mekhaled (17-3, 3ko) & Bo Mi Re Shin (17-2-3, 10ko).
