Undefeated Prospect Mehki Phillips Returns August 2 on Golden Boy Card in Chicago.

On Saturday, Aug 2, 2025– Undefeated lightweight prospect Mehki Phillips (6-0, 6KOs) of Capital Heights, Maryland, will face Puerto Rico’s Waldemar Areizaga (8-2, 4KOs), in a six-round bout, on a card promoted by Golden Boy promotions. The card will be headlined by Kenneth Simms jr taking on Oscar Duarte, in a scheduled 12-round contest that will take place at the University of Illinois, in Chicago Illinois.

Phillips, 22, is a rising young prospect who has earned all six of his wins by knockout. For Phillips, a victory over Areizaga on the national stage would help strengthen his campaign as one of boxing’s next emerging young talents.
