Women’s boxing is booming, and this Saturday, August 29, two of the sport’s top pound-for-pound fighters collide in Birmingham, UK.

Reigning unified 154-pound champion Mikaela Mayer (22-2, 5 KOs) puts her WBA and WBC super-welterweight titles on the line against WBO champion Chantelle Cameron (22-1, 8 KOs) in a 10-round world title unification showdown, headlining MVPW-06: USA vs. UK.

Mayer enters as one of the sport’s premier fighters. The former Olympian has captured world titles in three-weight classes and is looking to further strengthen her case among the sport’s elite.

Standing across the ring is Cameron, the reigning WBO super-welterweight champion. The former undisputed champion at 140 pounds earned another major title opportunity after reclaiming the WBO super-welterweight crown earlier this year.

The matchup pits Mayer’s length, technical ability and championship experience against Cameron’s pressure, physicality and relentless style. With two elite pound-for-pound fighters, three world titles and everything on the line, this has all the makings of a classic.
