Stevenson, Berlanga, Puello Headline Ring Magazine 3 In Big Apple

Undefeated 135-pound world champion Shakur Stevenson (23-0, 11 KOs) will face WBC #1 mandatory challenger William Zepeda (33-0, 27 KOs) of Mexico, in a [12-round] world championship attraction, headlining the “Ring Magazine 3” card scheduled to take place in New York City on July 12th.

This deluxe edition fight card will also feature Super-middleweight star Edgar Berlanga (23-1, 18 KOs) colliding with the UK’s Hamzah Sheeraz (21-0-1, 17 KOs), who will be moving up in weight to compete for the WBC Super-middleweight title eliminator.

The fight between Berlanga and Sheeraz is one of the most intense and exciting matchups that could be made in the division, with high stakes on the line as both fighters look to reposition themselves for another world title shot.

A fight that could very well steal the spotlight on the night will take place in the 140-pound division, when reigning WBC champion Alberto Puello (24-0, 10 KOs) Dominican Republic, takes on one of the most avoided fighters in the sport—former IBF world champion Subriel Matías (22-2, 22 KOs) of Puerto Rico—in a scheduled 12-round championship attraction.

Former WBA interim champion David Morrell (11-1, 9 KOs) Cuba, will look to rebound after suffering the first loss of his career when he takes on undefeated Australian standout Imán Khataev (10-0, 9 KOs).
