-On Saturday May 6, two tested warriors in Sulaiman Segawa and Misael Lopez, battled for the vacant WBC U.S featherweight title, at the Entertainment & Sports arena in Washington D.C.

Right from the opening bell this television worthy main-event kept the crowd engaged and on their feet, delivering back and forward action that made each round competitive to score.

But late in the championship rounds of the fight Segawa landed a shot that stunned Lopez, causing the (14-3-1) Ugandan native to pounce on his opponent and offload a montage punch combinations that ultimately forced the referee to step in and stop the fight. Sulaiman Segawa is now the new WBC U.S featherweight champion after picking up the victory.
