Matias returns to Puerto Rico for title defense against Paro

Returning to his native home of Puerto Rico, IBF Super Lightweight World Champion Subriel Matias (20-1, 20ko, looks to defend his title against undefeated Australian, Liam Paro (24-0, 15ko), in a [12 round] championship main-event.

This will be the first fight for Matias, under the Matchroom banner since inking a deal with the promotional company earlier on this year.

32yr old, Matias had been seeking to make big fights happen with the top names in his division, but hasn’t been fortunate enough to draw any luck, even despite being a world title holder. Now that he is with Matchroom, the guy often referred to as the “boogeyman” appears to have the proper team in place to help him land those big opportunities.
