Foster retains his WBC Jr.Lightweight crown after scoring late knockdown.

(Feb-16, 2024 — Jr.Lightweight World Champion O’shaquie Foster, defeated Abraham Nova (23-2,16ko), via [12-round] split decision, to retain his WBC World.

In the first half of the fight, the rounds would be heavily competitive between the two, with both fighters taking turns stealing rounds. Near the midway point of the fight things would begin to heat up as neither warrior wanted to fall to far behind on the score cards.

As things progressed inside the ring, the two men would continue to show relentless heart, with both fighters willing to stand in front of each other and exchange blows, showing no signs of retreat.

In the late championship rounds (rounds 10-12) Foster, began to come on strongly, wearing down his adversary and appearing to put some separation between himself and the challenger in the eyes of many viewers.

Then in the [12-round] the champion would land a left hook to the head of Nova, that would send him to the canvas, scoring a knockdown that would ultimately edge victory in favor of the champion.

With this victory Foster, improves to (3-0) in world title bouts, making this the second successful title defense for the Champion who’s record now improves to (22-2,12ko).
