Claressa Shields to Face Lani Daniels in Heavyweight Title Unification at Little Caesars Arena
— On Saturday, July 26, 2025, reigning undisputed world champion Claressa Shields (16-0, 3KOs) will return to her hometown of Detroit as she faces New Zealand’s Lani Daniels (11-2-2,1KO) in a scheduled 10-round heavyweight bout at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
A five-division world champion and Olympic gold medalist, Shields continues to make history as one of the most decorated athletes in the sport. Known as “The GWOAT”, Shields further cemented her legacy by adding undisputed heavyweight honors to her already historic resume with a win over Danielle Perkins, in February of 2025.
Her opponent Lani Daniels, a two-division world champion in her own right, brings experience and a championship pedigree to the ring. Daniels, who is currently the reigning IBF Light Heavyweight World Champion is expected to be one of Shields toughest challengers to date.
This fight is presented by Salita Promotions and will be broadcasting live on DAZN.
